Max: "Mom, is Ms. Jim a girl?"
Me: "Yes."
Max: "Why?"
Me: "Because that is the way God made her."
Max: "Why?"
Me: "Well, God has a plan for each person, and His plan was for Ms. Jim to be a girl, just like His plan was for you to be a boy."
Max: "Well, I don't want her to be a girl." (how typical...)
Me: "I think Ms. Jim likes being a girl."
Max: "Well, I don't want to be a boy. I wish God made me...(panicking now; please don't say a girl)....Batman."
